WHAT IS MONKI SEE MONKI DO?

MonkiSee MonkiDo is an innovative method of teaching babies to read using the whole-word method. It's development is based on the concept that babies and small children love to mimic and copy what they see going on around them. There are two options available to teach your baby to read. You can use the Monkisee DVDs and/orthe Monkisee Flash Cards. You may use one or both and still experience amazing results.

First, we have a series of four DVD's designed to teach babies to read. We do this using puppets, upbeat children's music, including our original "Monki See Monki Do" theme song, animals, toys, children and poetry. All of these elements combined, make learning to read enjoyable for your little one. Your child will want to keep coming back for more. The video series is full of silly puppet shows that children adore - which make it light and fun for babies.

The video is truly educational because it teaches your child to read and identify their first 40 words. These words include over 20 body parts, and other familiar first words such as mommy, daddy, baby, bottle, and others. To make this system work, we made the video series loads of fun. Let's face it, educational plus boring won't make for a good product. We took all this into account and guarantee your baby will be delighted to watch these videos.

By watching the 30-minute video daily, your child will be able to read and recognize 40 words. We have also included a slide show, accessible from the main menu. The slide show contains the same 40 words taught in the video. By using the slide show, you are able to review the words in a period of about two minutes a day. You can also use it as a stand-alone tool.

In order for babies to learn to read, four factors must be in place. The words must be large. The words must be spoken clearly in a slightly higher pitched voice. The words must be presented very quickly, so that the babies don't become bored. And lastly, the words must be presented often. We have included the first three factors in our video series. We have also made the series truly entertaining, so that your child will want to watch it again and again.

In order to receive optimal results this is how we recommend using our products. You can teach your baby to read in less than 40 minutes a day. You can accomplish this by watching the video, which takes 30 minutes, viewing the slide show, which takes about 2 minutes, and showing your child the flash cards, another 2-3 minutes.

If time restraints are an issue, you can teach your baby to read in about 5 minutes a day. You can do this by using the slide show 2 or 3 times per day. You can also teach your child to read with the Baby's First Words Flash Cards. These cards take between 2 to 3 minutes to present to your baby. For optimal results, we recommend you show the cards 3 times per day. Your child may become bored with the cards after having seen them between 15 and 20 times. This means it is time to move on to the next set to keep things interesting. Always shuffle the cards before showing them. This keeps each session fresh and exciting for your baby.

Expose your child to the video, slide show, or flash cards on a daily basis and they will learn to read.
